Rules, Hand Rankings & Variants
Three cards, a boot, and the nerve to call a show.

Master Teen Patti is the three-card game India plays at every festival, run the way a serious card room runs it. Each hand starts with a boot, three cards go face down to every seat, and the betting travels clockwise until someone asks for a show or everyone else packs. Tables hold up to five players, the deal takes under two seconds, and a full hand rarely lasts longer than a minute. Classic Teen Patti sits alongside AK47, Muflis, Joker, 999 and Hukam tables, every one of them dealt from a certified shuffle with the pot limit printed on the table card before you sit.

HOW TO PLAY MASTER TEEN PATTI
- Each player pays the boot into the pot and receives three cards face down.
- Betting moves clockwise. A blind player bets the current stake without looking; a seen player looks first and must bet twice the blind stake.
- On your turn you either bet (chaal) to stay in or pack to leave the hand. Raises are capped by the table limit.
- When two players remain, either may call for a show. Cards are turned over and the higher hand takes the pot.
- If everyone else packs, the last player still in wins without showing.
HAND RANKINGS
| 1Trail (Set) | Three cards of the same rank. Three aces is the best hand in the game. |
|---|---|
| 2Pure Sequence | Three consecutive cards in one suit, such as 9♣ 10♣ J♣. |
| 3Sequence | Three consecutive cards in mixed suits. |
| 4Colour | Three cards of one suit that are not in sequence. |
| 5Pair | Two cards of the same rank plus any third card. |
| 6High Card | None of the above; the highest single card decides. |
MASTER TEEN PATTI VARIANTS
Classic
The standard game as described above. Most tables in the lobby are Classic.
AK47
Every ace, king, four and seven is a joker and can stand in for any card.
Muflis
The ranking flips: the weakest hand wins, so 2-3-5 beats a trail of aces.
Joker
One rank is drawn before the deal and every card of that rank acts as wild.
999
The hand closest to the digits 9-9-9 wins. Picture cards count as zero.
Hukam
A trump suit is announced before the deal and its cards act as jokers.
TABLES, STAKES AND TIMERS
Public tables are grouped by boot, from ₹2 to ₹500, and the lobby card lists the chaal limit and the pot limit for each one. A show is forced when the pot hits its limit, so the most a single hand can cost is visible before you sit. Each turn has a 20-second timer; a player who times out twice in a row is packed and returned to the lobby. Private tables let you choose the boot and the variant and share a code with up to four friends, under the same shuffle and limits as public tables.
How fairness works
Every hand is dealt from a fresh shuffle by the certified random number generator, so nothing carries over from the hand before. Each blind, seen, chaal and side-show request is written to the hand history and kept for 90 days. Reports from in-app chat go to the game integrity team, who review them against that record. Automated checks flag players who keep joining the same table and packing in a pattern; flagged accounts are paused until the hands have been reviewed.

TABLE TIPS FROM THE CLUB
- Stay blind for the first round or two. A blind bet costs half what a seen bet costs, so it is the cheapest way to see how the table behaves.
- Fold a weak seen hand early. Chasing a low pair against a confident blind player is where most Teen Patti money is lost.
- Read the pot limit before you sit. When the pot reaches it a show is forced, so a modest hand can win if you keep the pot small.
- Set a session budget in Account › Play Limits before the first hand, not after.
Mistakes that cost members most
- Calling a show with a pair against a seen player who has raised three times. A pair is the fourth-lowest hand on the chart.
- Looking at your cards too early. Seen players pay double, so stay blind until the pot is worth it.
- Joining a Muflis or 999 table without a practice session. They reverse every instinct from Classic.
- Bluffing a full five-seat table. A bluff moves one or two opponents; it rarely moves four.
MASTER TEEN PATTI GLOSSARY
- Boot
- The compulsory amount every player puts into the pot before the cards are dealt.
- Chaal
- The bet made on your turn to stay in. Blind players bet the current stake; seen players bet double.
- Blind
- Betting without looking at your cards. A blind player can ask for a show only against another blind player.
- Side show
- A seen player's request to compare cards privately with the previous seen player; the lower hand packs.
- Pot limit
- The pot size that ends the hand and forces a show.
